EXAMPLE: 6-Methyl-4-(2-phenylethoxy)-2-(6-methyl-2-pyridyl)pyrimidine.
USE: An antimicrobial agent for agriculture and horticulture.
PREPARATION: A halopyrimidine derivative of formula V is reacted with an alkali metal of formula VI (M is alkali metal) at 0-120°C for 1-48hr.
