Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain a new derivative, having function to strongly inhibit both enzymes of a diglycerol acyltransferase (DGAT) and an acyl-CoA-cholesterol acyltransferase (ACAT) and utilizable as an improver for an abnormal increase of lipids in blood.

CONSTITUTION: The objective derivative of the formula (R is 5-25C alkyl or 5-25C alkenyl; SCoA is residue deficient in H of terminal mercapto of coenzyme A), e.g. 4-tridecylpyrrole-2-carboxylic acid coenzyme A ester. This compound of the formula is obtained by subjecting, e.g. pyrrolecarboxylic acid and the coenzyme A to condensing reaction according to a mixed acid anhydride method, an acid chloride method, etc.
