Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain a quadruple woven fabric which is stable in the structure and dense and a loom for forming the woven fabric.

CONSTITUTION: A lateral feed mechanism 11A of heddle lines L1 and L2 at the lower side of a conventional triaxial loom and a heddle turning mechanism 12A are coupled through clutches 33 and 34 to a main motor M and the longitudinal position of a heddle 32 of lower side heddle lines L1 and L2 is made controllable with a turn buckle 31. When weaving is carried out in a state where the clutches 33 and 34 are turned off, warps β and β' are crossed at right angles to weft Y and entangled with the weft Y on the upper and lower sides in the direction of thickness of triaxial structure formed of slant warps αand α' and weft Y.
