To provide a quality control method of a machine element merchandise capable of easily managing detailed history information in one-to-one relation with the machine element merchandise or by every lot from material purchase of each element product to the inspection contents of the machine element merchandise after completion.
The machine element merchandise 1 which is defined as a managing target is constituted by assembling a plurality of kinds of element products 2. The plurality of kinds of element products 2 are manufactured from the material purchase S1 via a forging process S2, a heat treatment process S3 and a grinding process S4. Pieces of information about the respective processes S1 to S2 are recorded in an IC tag 4 with lot numbers of the processes. After assembling the element products 2 to the machine element merchandise 1, recording information of the IC tag 4 to the respective element products 2 is recorded in a management computer system 10 corresponding to manufacturing numbers or manufacturing lot numbers. Another IC tag 9 is attached to the machine element merchandise 1 and the manufacturing number of the lot number is recorded. In addition, processing condition information of the respective processes of the forging, the heat treatment and grinding are recorded in the IC tag 9.
