Abstract:
To provide a quantitative analysis method for water-soluble organic acid capable of suppressing deterioration in esterification efficiency of water-soluble organic acid even in a case of increasing an amount of an aqueous solution sample using analysis.SOLUTION: An analysis method of a water-soluble organic acid for analyzing an ester compound obtained by esterifying a water-soluble organic acid, comprises mixing an aqueous solution sample containing a water-soluble organic acid, an alcohol phase-separated from the aqueous solution sample, and an acid catalyst having a higher solubility in the phase of the alcohol than the aqueous solution sample, and reacting the water-soluble organic acid with the alcohol to esterify the water-soluble organic acid.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
