PURPOSE: To make use of the assurance to solve the conflict and to quickly obtain the results with high reliability by adding the assurance to the facts and rules and carrying out the uncertain inference by a forward inference system.
CONSTITUTION: An input processing part 6 reads and analyzer a file containing the facts and rules produced separately by a program producing device (not shown here) and sorts the contents of the file into the forward and backward inference rules and the commands to be given to a device 1 for answering question. These sorted results if equal to facts are stored in a working memory 5 together with the forward inference rules stored in a rule memory part 11 respectively. While a command processing part 7 is called out for commands. The part 7 processes the start of inference, the display of commands of the memory 5, and the instruction including the 'specification of strategy', etc., given to the device 1 from outside.
