Abstract:
To provide reagents, methods and immuno-diagnostic test kits for the accurate detection of hepatitis B virus (HBV) infection.
The methods and the kits employ new rabbit monoclonal antibodies directed against HBV surface antigens (HBsAg), and the new rabbit monoclonal antibodies have mutations in the "a" determinant region of HBsAg. The methods provide monoclonal antibodies having high immunoreactivity for simply, accurately and efficiently diagnosing HBV infection. The antibodies are produced from rabbit hybridoma and immunoreactive to various mutant HBV strains.
