Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a safe kettle with improved container washing ability in the kettle for heating and heat insulating liquid inside a container.
SOLUTION: This electric kettle is provided with the container 13 for housing the liquid inside a main body 11, a lid body 14 for covering the upper opening part of the container 13, a heating element 15 for heating the liquid, a temperature detector 16 mounted to the back side of the bottom surface of the container, a controller 17 for controlling energizing to the heating element by electric signals from the temperature detector 16, a container washing function for adding the prescribed amount of a washing ability improving agent to the liquid, energizing the heating element 15 for prescribed time after boiling the liquid and washing stains by incrustations or the like stuck to the inner surface or the like of the container 13 and a dedicated switch 19 for controlling the container washing function.
