To provide a racket for table tennis having excellent absorbing ability and repulsive force to a hit ball and operability capable of obtaining a soft ball hitting heeling even through being a rather hard plate body by rationally adjusting the balance of the flexibility and rigidity of a racket main body by a reinforcing member consisting of a carbon fiber material and the flexible material such as a cork sheet.

On one or both surfaces of the racket main body from a grip part side peripheral part of a racket plate body 1 to a grip part, the reinforcing member 4 consisting of the carbon fiber material 6 and the flexible material 7 such as the cork sheet is disposed. In the reinforcing member 4, the carbon fiber material is formed on an outer side, the flexible material such as the cork sheet is formed on an inner side and they are piled up and stuck to each other. As the flexible material, a flexible material such as sponge or rubber is used besides the cork sheet. Incidentally, the thickness of the carbon fiber material is about 0.3 mm and the thickness of the flexible material 7 is about 0.8 mm.
