Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radiation detector using gas amplification by means of a pixel-type electrode with a sufficiently high sensitivity (gas amplification rate), and a method for manufacturing the radiation detector.MEANS FOR SOLVING THE PROBLEM: The radiation detector using gas amplification includes: a first electrode pattern formed on a first surface of an insulating member, the first electrode pattern having plural round openings; a stripe electrode pattern formed on a second surface, which is mutually opposed to the first surface of the insulating member; and a second electrode pattern comprised by connecting the stripe electrode pattern with plural metal plating layers formed on the inner wall surfaces respective of plural through-holes formed from the second surface of the insulating member toward the first surface thereof, the plural metal plating layers having respective top ends exposed to the centers of the plural openings of the first electrode pattern.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
