Abstract:
To provide a radiation detector for improving collection rate by space charge and assuring stable detection sensitivity without changing the detection sensitivity even when the detector is vibrated.
The radiation detector includes a vessel 10, which also acts as a negative electrode and in which a gas is sealed, and a positive electrode provided axially in the vessel 10; in which the positive electrode is a metallized positive electrode 2a of an electrically conductive material that is provided on at least one site of outer surface of a ceramic 3 (insulator or semiconductor) disposed axially in the vessel 10.
