PURPOSE: To execute the photographing read of a radiation image by providing a radiation energy accumulating fluorescent plate in parallel to an output window in a vacuum vessel, and providing a photoelectric surface for converting photoelectrically a bright light scanned by a read light and emitted from the rear side, on an incident window.
CONSTITUTION: X-rays 51 for forming an X-ray image transmit through an incident window 52 of a vacuum vessel 50, are made incident on a radiation energy accumulating fluorescent plate 57, and accumulated. The read luminous flux emitted from a luminous flux supplying device 60 passes through an output window 55 through a lens 72 and a vibrating mirror 58, and scans the fluorescent plate 57. Emitted bright light 62 is made incident on a photoelectric surface 53 of the rear side of the incident window 52, and a generated secondary electron is detected by a photoelectron detecting element 56. In such a way, the photographing read of a radiation image is executed.
