Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a radiation detection error based on a change in a state of gas in an ionization chamber.SOLUTION: When radiation enters an ionization chamber 12, air in the ionization chamber 12 is ionized. A high voltage generation circuit 40 is configured to apply a DC voltage between a collector electrode 26 and an electrode layer 28 to generate an electric field. The electric filed causes electrons in the ionized air to be collected to the collector electrode 26, and a detection current flows into the collector electrode 26. A detection/conversion unit 34 is configured to generate the detection signal based on the detection current to output the generated detection signal to a computation processing unit 36. The computation processing unit 36 is configured to generate a display signal for displaying a radiation measurement value on a display unit 18 on the basis of the detection signal. In the ionization chamber 12 or in a space in the vicinity of the ionization chamber 12 with which the air communicates, a temperature sensor 30 and atmospheric pressure sensor 32 are provided. The detection/conversion unit 34 or the computation processing unit 36 is configured to modify the radiation measurement value, using a detection value of each sensor.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
