Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radio-opaque film and radiation attenuation shield to protect physicians and allied clinical personnel from radiation in a way that does not hinder them from conducting their procedures.SOLUTION: A radio-opaque film includes at least one layer of radio-opaque material between a pair of containment layers. The radio-opaque layer may comprise particles of radio-opaque material and a binder for holding the particles of radio-opaque material together. When the radio-opaque layer is held between two pliable containment layers, the radio-opaque layer may also be pliable.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
