Title:
RADIATION RESISTANCE OPTICAL FIBER TRANSMISSION EQUIPMENT
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS6370804
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain a radiation resistance optical fiber transmission equipment which is capable of suppressing an increase of loss caused by radiating a radiant ray, without using a special optical fiber, by making a light beam for photo- bleaching incident on an optical fiber transmission line together with an optical signal for transmission.

CONSTITUTION: A half mirror 8 and a filter 9 are placed in an incident end and an emitting end of a multicore image fiber 3, and luminous flux which is given through a lens 11 from a light source 10 is made incident on the multicore image fiber 3 through the half mirror 8. This light source 10 is a light source for generating a light beam for photo-bleaching, and has a wave length being different from a light beam for showing an image of an object 1. The lens 11 allows the diameter of the luminous flux 12 to align with the diameter of the multicore image fiber 3. The filter 9 cuts off the light beam for photo-bleaching by utilizing a difference of the wavelength. In this way, an increase of loss caused by radiating a radiant ray can be suppressed when an optical signal is being transmitted to an optical fiber, in short, in a real time.
