Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display element that suppresses generation of air bubbles and has sufficient general characteristics such as a voltage retention rate, and a method for manufacturing the liquid crystal display element.SOLUTION: The liquid crystal display element includes two substrates disposed opposing to each other, an interlayer insulation film deposited on at least one inner surface side of the substrates, and a liquid crystal layer disposed between the substrates and formed of a polymerizable liquid crystal composition. The interlayer insulation film is formed of a radiation-sensitive resin composition comprising a polymerizable compound having at least two polymerizable groups and a ring structure and a radiation-sensitive compound; and the ring structure is an aliphatic carbon ring structure, a heterocyclic structure, a condensed carbon ring structure, or a combination of these structures.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
