Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radiation shield material which manufactures fiber containing high barium sulfate content by adopting a method simple in a process and high in productivity and weaving this fiber to make a flexible woven fabric, excellent in adhesive properties to a human body, and having a free degree of movement and air permeability and superior in radiation shield ability.SOLUTION: A radiation shield material is made from a barium sulfate content fabric by weaving a barium sulfate content fabric 3. The barium sulfate content fabric 3 to be used may be a barium sulfate content slit yarn which slits a resin sheet high in barium sulfate content. Further, the barium sulfate content fabric 3 may be a barium sulfate content spun yarn melting a sheath part and increasing the barium sulfate content after spinning a core-sheath fiber mixing a barium sulfate in a core part. Further, the barium sulfate content fabric 3 may be a barium sulfate content covering yarn wounding a metal wire around these barium sulfate content fabrics.
