To enable self-diagnostics with a simple configuration by applying light to an object to be measured from a light source for indicating a measurement position by obtaining the radiation energy of the light source by a sensing element, performing self-diagnostics based on the change, and compensating for the light source with other sensing elements.
A processing means 9 activates a driving means 14 by an operation means 13, light being emitted from a light source 15 is applied to an abject 1 to be measured through a beam splitter 4 and a lens 21 or the like, and a site to be measured can be visually verified. One portion of the light of the light source 15 is applied to a sensitive element 7 via the beam splitter 4, a filter 60, and the beam splitter 4. The light source 15 is turned on and off before starting measurement, a radiation energy constituent L0 passing through the filter is measured, and a measurement value L2 is obtained in the same manner if required. The processing means 9 diagnoses a self-state based on the change state of the difference between the L0 and L2, error information is indicated on a display means and is informed to host computer by a communication means 12, and self-calibration is performed. The transmission light of the filter 60 is detected by another sensing element 70 and a signal compensates for the fluctuation of the light source 15.
