To provide a radio communication device and a data search method for control which can suppress a consumption current when the device is placed outside of the base station.
The device is provided with a radio part 101, a 1st counter part 108 which measures time duration to receive data for control of the base station, a 2nd counter 109 which measures a space between receiving of the data for control of the base station, and a control part 120 which controls the whole. Th control part 120 controls the radio part 101 to receive the data for control only time decided by the 1st counter part 108 during to catch the data for control transmitted by the base station. If it is not possible to receive the data for control, the control part 120 controls the radio part 101 to again receive the data for control only during time decided by the 1st counter part 108 in a time interval decided by the 2nd counter part 109. If the control part 120 can not receive the data for control of the base station and repeats receiving, time measured by the 1st counter part 108 is made short.
