To provide a radio communication device which saves electric power and has high efficiency by securely detecting periodicity of a disturbance wave that a microwave oven radiates even when a radio wave comprising various mixed radio waves is recognized as a reception radio wave.
The radio communication device includes a radio modulation and demodulation unit 5, and a base band signal processing unit 9 including a reception base band signal processing unit 6, a transmission base band signal processing part 7, and a disturbance wave detection processing unit 8. The disturbance wave detection processing unit 8 includes an RSSI signal generating means 10 of generating and outputting an RSSI signal S5 when an RSSI value of a reception radio wave possibly including a disturbance wave exceeds a threshold, a first periodicity decision means 20 of deciding a first periodicity F1 comprising a period wherein the RSSI value of the RSSI signal exceeds the threshold and a period wherein the RSSI value is less than the threshold, and a second periodicity decision means 30 of deciding a second periodicity F2 comprising a period wherein the first periodicity of the RSSI signal repetitively continues and a period wherein the first periodicity does not repetitively continue.
