To provide a radio communication device capable of radio communication without being affected by an interference wave signal.
The radio communication device according to an embodiment includes communication controller, transmitter and receiver. The radio communication device performs radio communication with another radio communication device in time division by a frequency hopping scheme. The communication controller selects one frequency channel among a plurality of frequency channels, and switches the selected frequency channel with the lapse of time. The receiver receives a reception signal of the selected frequency channel from the other radio communication device. The receiver includes an interference wave detection circuit for detecting the interference wave signal in a detection frequency included in input signals which are received during an interference wave detection period in which the reception signals are not received. The communication controller generates a frequency channel map by masking a frequency channel related to the detection frequency of the interference wave signal, detected by the interference wave detection circuit, among the plurality of frequency channels, so as not to select the masked frequency channel.
