Abstract:

To provide a radio communication system capable of transmitting/ receiving information between an information processor to which a portable recording medium is attached and a radio communication device.

The radio communication system has an IC card to be a portable recording medium provided with both contact and non-contact type interfaces, a portable telephone 50 to be an information processor attaching the IC card 20 to its own body and capable of executing communication with the IC card 20 through the contact type interface, and a card reader/writer 80 to be a radio communication device for executing radio communication with the IC card 20 attached to the telephone 20 through the non-contact type interface and transmitting/receiving information to/from the telephone 50 through the IC card 20.
