To attain a fast synchronous pull-in operation by using a common code for every base station as a diffusion code of the preamble signal of every time-divided time slot that is received from the base station.
At a base station, the burst data DB1k to DB12k are allocated into the combinations of code channels/time slots. In this case, the preamble patterns P1 to P4 of every time slot are decided by the slot timing regardless of the code channels 1 to 3. The patterns P1 to P4 are diffused by a diffusion code Cp regardless of the channels 1 to 3 and the slot timing. The data DB1k to DB12k stored in every slot generate the diffusion/transmission signal data strings 11 to 13 by means of the corresponding diffusion codes C11 to C13. At a mobile station, the codes and clocks are synchronously acquired by the code Cp in response to the preamble timing of an allocated time slot.
