Abstract:
PURPOSE: To improve the efficiency of data communication with an external equipment and to improve the reliability without deterioration in the reception quality even when data communication is made during the reception in the radio selective call receiver making data communication with the external equipment.
CONSTITUTION: The radio selective calling receiver having a reception section 1, a reception section control circuit 2, a message memory 3, a data communication control circuit 4, and a data communication buffer 5 to activate intermittently the reception section 1 and making data communication of received data with an external equipment is provided with a 1st oscillator 6 generating a low speed clock signal, a 2nd oscillator 7 generating a high speed clock signal, a clock changeover device 8 selecting the clock signals in response to the on-off state of the reception operation of the reception section 1 and using the selected clock signal for the clock signal for data communication, and when the operation of the reception section 1 is deenergized, the data communication processing speed is improved by conducting the processing based on the high speed clock signal and when the operation of the reception section 1 is set, the processing is conducted based on the low speed clock signal to reduce reception noise and to improve the reception quality.
