Spreaders 22a-1 to 22a-n when spreading the generated space-time code symbols in two dimensions of a time direction and a frequency direction by using spread codes spreads them so that a spread chip generated from a plurality of space-time code symbols in the time direction of the space-time encoding matrix is allocated to a nearby subcarrier. A conversion transmission part 28a allocates the spread chip to the subcarrier and converts it into a signal of a time region, which is transmitted from a plurality of transmitting antennas 30a and 30b.
