Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radioactive contamination inspection device that can have its effective sensitive surface increased in area and is small in position dependency in sensitivity on the whole sensitive surface even when the sensitive surface is made large in area, and obtains a larger detector output than before.SOLUTION: A radioactive contamination inspection device comprises a plastic scintillator (1), a light receiving element (6), a light guide (5) letting scintillation light emitted from the plastic scintillator reach the light receiving element, and a light shield housing (7) having an incidence window, and further comprises a thin-film structure which is provided between the incidence window provided to the light shield housing and the plastic scintillator and includes a protective film (4), a light shield film (3), and a reflective film (2) in order from the incidence window side, wherein a side face of the light guide is formed of an irregular reflection surface, and the reflection film is arranged with an air layer interposed with the plastic scintillator, and also has a surface, opposed to the plastic scintillator, formed of a specular surface.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
