NEW MATERIAL: A compd. expressed by formula I (wherein R1 is 123I, 125I or 131I; R2 is H or OH; R3 is R2, halogen or OCH3; R4 is 1-4C alkyl, 2-4C alkenyl and alkynyl, 3-7c cycloalkyl, phenyl or phenyl with the para-position substituted by halogen.) or its enantiomers.
EXAMPLE: [125I]-N-[(1-ethyl-2-pyrrolydinyl)methyl]-5-iodo-2-methoxybenzamide.
USE: Pharmaceutic. Radiopharmaceutic and diagnostic drug. Especially, the compd. is selectively bonded to a dopamine D-2 receptor and is used as an imaging agent for a brain.
PREPARATION: For example, a compd. expressed by formula II (n is 1 or 2) is allowed to react with an org. acid such as trifluoroacetic acid or an inorg. acid such as hydrochloric acid in an aprotic solvent such as benzene in the presence of a radioactive NaI or KI to obtain the compd. expressed by formula I.
