Abstract:

NEW MATERIAL: The compd. of the formula [T is H or S protective group; X is H2 or O; R is H, non-alkyl side chain of an amino acid exclusive of cysteine, etc.; R' is H2, -(CH2)n-Z (Z is-COOH, etc.; n is 1 to 4) or alkyl, substd. with a polar group; the compd. has at least one piece of -(CH2)n-Z substituent].

EXAMPLE: A conjugate of a monoclonal antibodysuccinimidylbezoylmercaptoacetylglycylglycyl glycine.

USE: The metal-radionuclide labeled proteins, hydrocarbons and glycoproteins are useful for the diagnosis and treatment of various kinds of diseases and their precursors.

PROCESS: The compd. of the formula is obtd. by preparing the active ester of succinimidylbezoylmercaptoacetylglycylglycyl glycine and bringing the monoclonal antibody into reaction.
