Abstract:
To solve problems that a conventional method requires a dedicated vial capable of fixing the canister on the upper part of the vial and also requires quiet standing posture for about three hours after shaking in order to leach radon from activated carbon into a liquid scintillator.SOLUTION: A radon radioactivity measurement method includes: a radon adsorption step of standing a breathable bag body filled with activated carbon for a fixed time at a radioactivity measuring point of radon; a bag body inserting step of collecting the bag body into a vial; a leaching step of placing a liquid scintillator in the vial and submerging the bag body in a liquid scintillator; and a radioactivity measuring step of measuring radioactivity by directly putting the vial containing the bag body and the liquid scintillator into a scintillation measuring device.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
