Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent longer time to complete verification due to influence of vibration of an HDD when verification of the HDD is executed.SOLUTION: The invention provides an RAID device comprising: a determination part referring to a storage part storing a response time of a predetermined area of an HDD, and comparing the response time of the predetermined area of the HDD measured in advance with the response time of the predetermined area measured before executing verification of the HDD, and determining whether vibration occurs in the HDD based on the basis of the result of the comparison; and a verification processing part executing the verification of the HDD if it is determined that the vibration does not occur in the HDD.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 11
