PURPOSE: To curtail processing cost by an improvement in workability, and to reduce cost by the decrease of stock.
CONSTITUTION: A rail post consists of a straight pipe section 1 in a specified length and a front end section 2 fitted into the lower end of the straight pipe section 1 and superposed in a specified length. The front end section 2 is formed by continuing an edge section 4 having the same diameter as the straight pipe section 1 while being continued to a superposing section 3 closely attached into the straight pipe section 1, a tapered section 5, a diameter of which is successively thinned downwards while being continued to the edge section 4, and a straight section 6 continued to the tapered section 5. The straight pipe section 1 and the front end section 2 are connected by pushing the specified places of the superposing sections of both the straight pipe section 1 and the front end section 2 under a fitted state and projecting the specified places into a cylinder. Accordingly, the workability of the front end section 2 is improved, the number of stock is decreased by assembly at the time of forwarding and cost can be reduced generally.
