To provide a railroad bicycle capable of smoothly transmitting a driving force to a carriage body while stepping on a pedal and of restraining an increase in manufacturing cost and maintenance cost.
The railroad bicycle, running along railroad rails and used for maintenance and inspection of the railroad rails, includes: a pair of front wheels 1a and a pair of rear wheels 1b; a carriage body 2 for an occupant to ride on, a single saddle 4 which is formed on the carriage body 2 and enables an occupant to step on a pedal 3 and to be seated; a seat 5 which is formed at a position adjacent to the saddle 4 on the carriage body 2 and enables an occupant to be seated; a driving shaft 6 which can drive the front wheel 1b, interlocking with the pedal 3; a motor 7 for driving a pedal force to the pedal 3 to assist; and a battery 8 for supplying electric power to the motor 7.
