Title:
RAILROAD SIGNAL SYSTEM USING POWER SUPPLY SYSTEM
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2013141891
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To solve such a problem that a cost required for installment and maintenance increases when a device for knowing a position of a train on a track such as a transponder, track circuit or acceleration counter is installed on ground and, when an on-vehicle device does not know a position of own train on a track because the train on the track in a station yard is started or abnormality such as electric power interruption occurs, it is required that a driver drives the train while confirming safety of the front side in the traveling direction by visual observation or the like to a place where the transponder is installed to determine the position of the train on the track.

A train control system includes a power supply device for supplying a power from a power generation plant to a train, wherein a timing of power supply or a voltage wave form of the supply power of the power supply device is controlled for every track number in a station yard where the power supply is respectively electrically-independently performed or for every section where the power supply can be cut, on a track on which the train travels, thereby, the supply power is utilized as a signal and a range of position of the train on the track is specified.
