Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a railroad power compensator capable of effectively using regeneration electric power while reducing operation loss when reverse phase compensation and reactive power compensation are performed.SOLUTION: A current command value calculation circuit 36 obtains an effective current command value for compensating excess when a reverse phase value, which is half of a difference between the effective component of an M seat and that of a T seat, exceeds a certain value if both are power running, and obtains an effective current command value for compensating a current value whose absolute value is smaller between half of the difference and a regeneration current if at least one of the two effective components is in a regeneration state. Current control circuits 9 and 10 output a switching signal based on the current command value. MT seat converters 46, 47 and a MT seat inverse converter 48 accommodate effective power between the M seat and T seat in response to the switching signal and output ineffective electric power to the M seat and T seat independently.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
