Title:
RAINDROP SENSOR
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2015034714
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent air bubbles from remaining in a contact interface between a silicone sheet and a windshield glass.SOLUTION: A raindrop sensor 1 is configured by attaching, to a windshield glass 2 via an optical contact 5, a prism 6 for guiding to a light receiving element 92 light emitted from a light-emitting element 91 and reflected on a surface 2a of the windshield glass 2. The raindrop sensor 1 comprises: a bracket 3 fixed to the windshield glass 2; a cover 8 detachable to the bracket 3; and a spring Sp supporting the prism 6 on the cover 8 so that the prism 6 can move forward and backward in a fitting direction to the windshield glass 2. The optical contact 5 includes a gas permeable silicone sheet containing silicone oil. When the cover 8 is attached to the bracket 3, the spring Sp and the optical contact 5 are compressed in the fitting direction so that the prism 6 is crimped to the windshield glass 2 via the optical contact 5.
