PURPOSE: To obtain the subject product such as fleecy jersey much improved in touch and performance with gigging stage omitted, homogeneous and in creased gigging by using open end spun yarn having a specific twisting number as a gigging yarn.

CONSTITUTION: Open-end spun yarns having 15 to 90 of twisting index α accord ing to the equation: α=T/(Nm)1/2 (Nm = metric count; T is twisting count per meter) are used as a gigging yarn to produce the subject product. The open-end spun yarn is preferably produced by combination of air twisting with swirling flow, because of its soft touch and gigging properties.
