Title:
RANDOM NUMBER GENERATING DEVICE, RANDOM NUMBER GENERATING METHOD AND ITS PROGRAM
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3806762
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize random number generation which is satisfactory in long cycle and uniformity by simple configurations or processing.
SOLUTION: Random numbers are generated by non-linear mapping expressed with the formula of (Xn=pXn-12+qXn-1+r(mod 2N), in this case, p=4k+2(k=0, 1, 2 and so on), q, r: odd numbers). In the example of N=4 and (p=2, q=3, r=1), an orbit having the cycle of 24 exists (Figure A). In the example of (p=2, q=1, r=1), two sets of orbits having the cycle of 23 exist (Figure B). In the example of (p=2, q=3, r=3), two sets of orbits having the cycle of 22 and four sets of orbits having the cycle of 2 coexist (Figure C).
