Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a Rankine cycle system capable of improving thermal efficiency while suppressing freezing of actuation fluid and an operation method of the Rankine cycle system.SOLUTION: A Rankine cycle system 1 includes: an actuation fluid tank 3 which stores actuation fluid prepared by mixing an addition medium having a boiling point different from water and having solidification point falling actuation of water and water; a distillation tower 5, a three-way valve 8 and a control part 13 which separate at least a part of the addition medium from actuation fluid by distillation; a TFE tank 11 which stores the separated addition medium; a Rankine cycle device 2 which performs a Rankine cycle by means of actuation fluid from which at least a part of the addition medium is separated; and a returning valve 12 which returns the addition medium stored on the TFE tank 11 upon the ending of the Rankine cycle by means of the Rankine cycle device 2 to the actuation fluid tank.
