Title:
RAPIER LOOM HAVING WEFT PICKING MECHANISM ADJUSTABLE TO YARN PROPERTIES
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH05195373
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To prevent weft yarn damage by surely transferring a weft yarn from a giver synchronously moving back and forth in directions opposite to each other in a mid-shed in compliance with the properties of a clamp to a taker.

CONSTITUTION: The rapier loom is so constituted that the program formed by the parameters previously determined according to the properties of the yarn and rapier clamp used for a control computer is previously inputted and the rapier known as the giver and the rapier known as the taher can be moved back and forth synchronously in the directions opposite to each other by operating the high dynamics servomotors according to the program described above. A clamp opener is disposed under the cloth of the yarn transfer place near the rapier reversing position in the mid-shed and the servomotors are driven according to the similar program to clamp the yarn of the giver and/or the taker. The giver is made immobile during the slight time in the reversing position described above during the yarn transfer and during this time, the clamp is opened. The sure transfer of the yarn is executed by opening of the giver during the time when the taker opens and closes.
