Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic powder for a rare earth bond magnet wherein, excellent in heat-resistance, the heating temperature where an initial demagnetizing factor is 5% is 80°C or above, and also provide a composition for the rare earth bond magnet as well as the rare earth bond magnet.
SOLUTION: Related to a magnetic powder for a rare earth bond magnet whose main components are R (R is rare earth element), Fe or both Fe and Co, and N, a content of total magnetic powder of particle size 5.0 μm or larger relative to that of particle size 1.0 μm or larger is 2.5% or less by unit base. The composition for the rare earth bond magnet contains the magnetic powder for rare earth bond magnet and a resin binder as main components, and the rare earth bond magnet is obtained by molding the composition for rare earth bond magnet into a magnet shape.
