Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a component C1 which is a constituent component of a rat multifunctional protease useful for diagnosing cancer and other diseases or elucidating the therapy therefor.
CONSTITUTION: The objective component C1 comprising a sequence of specific 208 amino acids is obtained by synthesizing a double-stranded DNA from an mRNA separated from a rat cell capable of producing a multifunctional protease, transforming a host with a recombinant in which the DNA is integrated and secreting a polypeptide of the component C1 from the transformant. Furthermore, a gene of the component C1 comprising a base sequence of specified 624 bases is obtained by isolating a gene capable of coding the objective component C1 from the transformant.
