Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To uniformly supply raw material to be crushed to a crushing chamber in a gyratory crusher, reduce the height and weight of the gyratory crusher when a raw material feeder is installed therein in comparison with conventional gyratory crushers, and prevent the rapid wear of parts receiving the supplied raw material to be crushed.
SOLUTION: A raw material feeder for the gyratory crusher is provided with a closed-end cylindrical rotary chute 5 for raw material feed which is rotatably supported on an upper bearing 22 of the gyratory crusher and into which the raw material to be crushed is fed from above, and an electric motor 10 with a speed reducer for rotating the rotary chute 5. The rotary chute 5 for raw material feed has a plurality of raw material discharge openings 6a on the peripheral wall 6 of the chute, and a dead stock region 7b on a horizontally extending chute bottom 7.
