Abstract:
To provide a raw material gas feed nozzle unit capable of stably producing at low cost vapor-grown extra-fine carbon fiber.
The raw material gas feed nozzle unit, disposed so as to open inside at one end of a heated core pipe, comprises a jacket having a sheath tube surrounding a raw material gas feed nozzle feeding the raw material into the core pipe and a bottomed circular internal space defined by the outer circumferential wall surface of the nozzle and a bottom surface at the end of the sheath tube and the above outer circumferential wall surface, and a plurality of cooling gas blow pipes, provided inside the jacket, via which a cooling gas is blown out at the above-mentioned bottom surface.
