Abstract:
To provide a system that can efficiently concentrate a raw material liquid while suppressing deterioration and decrease of components even if the raw material liquid has a high viscosity.SOLUTION: A raw material liquid concentration system has a forward osmosis membrane unit which brings a raw material liquid containing a solvent and a solute and an induction solution containing an induction substance into contact with each other through a forward osmosis membrane, and moves the solvent in the raw material liquid into the induction solution to concentrate the raw material liquid. The forward osmosis membrane has a hollow fiber shape. The forward osmosis membrane unit has a function of allowing the raw material liquid to circulate in a hollow portion of the hollow fiber-shaped forward osmosis membrane and the induction solution to circulate to the outside of the hollow fiber-shaped forward osmosis membrane. It has a function of setting the linear velocity of the raw material liquid flowing into the hollow portion of the hollow fiber-shaped forward osmosis membrane to 0.1 cm/s or more and 5.0 cm/s or less and setting the linear velocity of the induction solution flowing to the outside of the forward osmosis membrane to 0.1 cm/s or more and 10 cm/s or less when the viscosity of the raw material liquid flowing into the hollow portion of the hollow fiber-shaped forward osmosis membrane is 20 cP or more and 600 cP or less.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
