Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a melting furnace provided with a raw material preheating feeding device, by which waste heat of the melting furnace can be effectively used for preheating of raw materials to be next fed, and the preheated raw materials can be directly, smoothly, and systematically fed into the melting furnace.
CONSTITUTION: A raw material preheating feeding device 10 wherein a rotary base plate 20 provided with a plurality of buckets 22 for housing raw materials are rotatably arranged in a preheating chamber 11 is placed on two-based melting furnaces 40a, 40b. Respective buckets are fixed to the rotary base plate in the positional relationship that they pass under a raw material supplying port of the preheating chamber and above a raw material feeding port 41a of respective melting furnaces. Respective melting furnaces and the preheating chamber are respectively communicated with one another by exhaust pipes 50a, 50b having a double pipe structure, and high- temperature atmosphere in the melting furnace is introduced into the preheating chamber, so as to preheat the raw materials housed in the buckets. After the preheating, the raw materials are fed into the melting furnaces through the raw material feeding port and melted. Feeding of raw materials into respective furnaces and melting are performed at specific intervals.
