PURPOSE: To provide a crude refuse treating device capable of removing the smells generated from condensed water or the smells generated from the waste water of a drain pipe and preventing the back flow from the drain pipe.

CONSTITUTION: This raw refuse treating device 1 has a drying cage 3 housing the raw refuse, a drying means for drying the raw refuse and a condenser 9 for condensing the steam generated from the raw refuse by the drying means and discharging the steam as the condensed water to the drain pipe 15. The raw refuse treating device described above has a deodorizing device 30 for deodorizing the smells generated from the condensed water or the smells generated from the waste water in the drain pipe and a check valve 20 for preventing the backflow of the waste water from the drain pipe 15 to the deodorizing device 30. The flow of the smells of the waste water into the raw refuse treating device is prevented and the smells of the condensed water is effectively prevented as well.
