Abstract:
PURPOSE: To make a conversion error small by providing a means for comparing an output voltage of a capacitor array with a reference voltage and controlling a control switch of a (capacitor array based on an comparison signal. CONSTITUTION: This re-distribution type A/D converter is composed of the capacitor array provided with the values of C, C/2, C/4 and C/4, a comparator 10, a successive approximation control circuit 26 and a code bit test circuit 27. Then, the output voltage of the capacitor array is inputted to the positive input terminal of the comparator 10 and the reference voltage Vc is inputted to the negative input terminal. The output of the comparator 10 is inputted to the successive approximation control circuit 26 and the output of the circuit 26 becomes switch control signals for controlling the state of the switches 13-20 and 25 of the capacitor array. Also, the output of the comparator 10 is inputted to the code bit test circuit 27 as well and the circuit 27 decides the code of input signals.
