Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reaction device that can form and agitate a dome-shaped microdroplet in a micro-volume container such as a microplate and a microchannel chip.SOLUTION: In a reaction device including micro-volume containers 1 which enables agitation by an electric field agitation method, each micro-volume container 1 has a bottom surface 5 and side walls 3 arranged along an outer periphery of the bottom surface 5, and a pedestal 6 having a height lower than that of the side walls 3 is installed at an inner boundary between the bottom surface 5 and the side walls 3 so as to prevent a solution 2 poured onto the bottom surface 5 from contacting with the side walls 3, whereby, when the solution 2 is poured until exceeding the height of the pedestal 6, a dome-shaped droplet 2 is formed and then agitated by applying a fluctuation electric field to the droplet 2.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
