Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the liquid pressure of a bottom part, to increase the area of a liquid surface largely, to facilitate the discharge of steam containing low boiling point substances produced by a reaction, and to shorten a reaction time by installing a reaction vessel main body horizontally to orient a cylinder shaft horizontally.
SOLUTION: A cylindrical reaction vessel main body 1 is arranged horizontally to orient a cylinder shaft horizontally. A pair of agitators 2 for agitating organic acid with alcohol in the main body 1 is installed in the main body 1. In the agitator 2, agitation shafts 3 which rotate vertically are installed in a line in the cylinder shaft direction, and agitation blades 4 are fixed in the lower end part. On the bottom surface side of the main body 1, a heater 5 for evaporating water produced by a reaction is installed outside. Moreover, in the upper surface part of the main body 1, a steam discharge part 6 for discharging steam containing water as a produced low boiling point substance is formed. When the horizontal, and cylindrical reaction vessel main body is used, liquid pressure is reduced, and the evaporation of produced water is accelerated.
