PURPOSE: To obtain the title antioxidant improved in an antioxidizing effect, extraction resistance, and blooming resistance by reacting a polydiene having OH groups in the molecule with a specified ester compound to form a compound having double bonds crosslinkable with a polymer in the molecule.
CONSTITUTION: A polydiene having OH groups in the molecule and a molecular weight of 500 to 10,000 is reacted with an ester compound of the formula (wherein R1, R2, and R3 are each 1-4C alkyl; l is 0 to 3) (e.g. 3,5-di-t-butyl-4- hydroxyphenyl ester compound) to give the title antioxidant. A polymeric material comprising a polymer reactive with this antioxidant is mixed with 0.1-20wt.% of this antioxidant, and crosslinking reaction is effected to give the title composition.
